At IFSA-Butler we pride ourselves on our student services, they are truly a step above the rest and we encourage you take advantage of our knowledge and experience.

Our Australian staff are there for you from the beginning of the semester right through until you have a Butler transcript. We provide orientation at Narrabeen on Sydney's Northern Beaches, a beautiful setting consisting of tranquil waterways and golden beaches, only a one-hour-and-45-minute drive from the city. The Northern Beaches have a relaxed ambiance and lots of opportunities for recreation. With the ocean on one side and Pittwater on the other, the peninsula covers about 18 km of open coastline with great seaside dining, surf beaches, waterways and boat sheds. On the other side is Kuringai Chase National Park, which has pockets of rainforest with a river, creeks, waterfalls and Aboriginal rock art.

  • U.S. based support in Indianapolis to help the student recommend and choose a course
  • Upon arrival a three day orientation is provided which showcases the best that Sydney has to offer and provides valuable advice about settling into Australia and the Universities
  • Housing which is guaranteed and of a high standard
  • Supplementary medical insurance from Seven Corners which covers critical incidents, evacuation, and even assistance in emergency family reunion
  • Option to have a FREE mobile phone issued
  • During the semester there is a choice for you to attend either the Aussie Adventure Experiences or the Country Life Weekend
  • Other fantastic events - sporting, cultural and/or adventure activities
  • Full time Student Service Coordinators based in most major cities and whose primary role is to look after the students welfare whilst in Australia, and regularly visit every University
  • High quality advising resources such as our Student Handbook, and The Times Abroad which outlines everything you need to know about living in Australia and any academic issues
  • Secure student extranet which also contains a forum, event calendar and a photo gallery of all our FREE events
  • An emergency pager, providing you and your parents with the reassurance that we will be accessible and there for you during your stay
  • Your Australian transcript translated into U.S. grades and sent to your home university.

From a Spring 2009 parent

I just want to take a moment and thank you and the staff at IFSA for providing an amazing study abroad experience for our daughter. We welcomed her home yesterday (after an additional week in Seattle with her brother) and she had a great time with lots of stories to share.

Your program covered all the bases with no problems whatsoever, and any questions we had were addressed immediately right from the start. We also appreciated the contact in person from  IFSA in Australia. Knowing that someone actually met with the students in person was a comfort to us so far away.

Maureen will treasure this semester forever.
