We are there for you from the beginning of the semester right through until you have that transcript in your hand. Here's some of the support you can expect.
Orientation
It starts from the moment you arrive. We provide orientation for all new students to give you a firm grounding in what to expect in Oz.
For instance orientation for Sydney-based students (and most of the Australia based Students) is conducted at Narrabeen Lakes on Sydney's northern beaches. The northern beaches consist of tranquil waterways and golden beaches, and they're only a one-hour-and-45-minute drive from the city.
The northern beaches have a relaxed ambience and lots of opportunities for recreation. With the ocean on one side and Pittwater on the other, the peninsula covers about 18 km of open coastline with great seaside dining, surf beaches, waterways and boat sheds. Opposite Pittwater is Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, which has pockets of rain forest with a river, creeks, waterfalls and Aboriginal rock art.
After orientation and where possible we will accompany you to your accommodation where you will be free to explore your new city.
Events
Orientation is just the start of the events we organise for you. We arrange a whole range of fantastic events - sporting, cultural and/or adventure activities.
What sets IFSA-Butler activities above all the rest is the fact that all of the events have been organized for you and are available to IFSA-Butler students as part of your program fee - no extra costs!

Housing
IFSA-Butler takes the hassle out of finding housing in a new country. We have done our best to source appropriate accommodation as close to your chosen university campus as possible.
There is no need to worry about whether or not you will be able to find a bed when you arrive, no need to worry about how to pay next week's rent or how to re-connect the power! Being the most experienced study abroad program in Australia means that we have excellent professional ties with residential colleges and other student accommodation complexes.

Emergency support
IFSA-Butler offers 24hr emergency assistance for all students on the program. Furthermore, IFSA-Butler seeks to register each student with your nearest US Consulate in Australia. This is for your added safety and security while studying abroad.
U.S. Transcripts
Each IFSA-Butler participant will receive their study abroad grades on a Butler University transcript. Having a U.S. university transcript eases the transfer of grades and credits to the student’s home university.
