Willing and able

Our goal at IFSA-Butler Australia is to help all our students, including those with special needs, to develop their independence and achieve their fullest potential while studying in Australia.

If you have any needs or a circumstance you would like us to be aware of, please contact your IFSA-Butler Program Coordinator in the US for advice, assistance and documentation procedure.

Many universities have Disability Resources Officers, who are available to provide information, advice, and a range of services for students with disabilities. The university staff work collaboratively with students to identify their support requirements. The services are free of charge, confidential, and geared to facilitate the process of study and/or work within the University context. Relevant services include:

  • Examination support - extra time, readers, writers
  • Advocacy
  • Library assistance
  • Preparation of materials
  • Other assistance in collaboration with relevant services on campus such as the Counselling Centre and Health Centre
