Earthquake at Sumatra Indonesia / 1st Oct 09

A powerful earthquake has struck Sumatra Indonesia and heavy casualties have been reported.

Our thoughts and prayers are with these people at this time.

As part of the service offering from IFSA-Butler all current students are asked to record their travel with IFSA-Butler, so in such unfortunate instances like these we know where they might be. At this stage no students have let us know that they are traveling in the vicinity of Indonesia furthermore as of the 1st of October the vast majority of our students have returned from spring break and are already in their university classes.

The Institute for Study Abroad is continuing to monitoring the situation.
